A Special Tribute to Mayor Frank Druetzler

We invite you to see a pictorial history of Frank Druetzler’s many years of service to our “Community of Caring.”  The exhibit contains photographs of Frank’s years as a councilman and mayor in Morris Plains. Frank also served on the borough’s planning board, the Morris County Freeholder board and the municipal utilities authority.

Under Frank Druetzler’s tenure, Morris Plains instituted the annual Memorial Day parade, Uncle Frank’s fishing contest, July 4th Family Day and fireworks, and a seasonal farmer’s market.  The town created a new community center and a teen center, and expanded the municipal building. Frank organized a slogan contest which ultimately resulted in “The Community of Caring” moniker which remains to this day.
